Take two. This Zentangle uses the same tangles that were used on Friday's tile . They are done, however, in a different string and on a black tile. I was curious to see how they would look. I think Quandry looks good either way, and so does Shattuck. I definitly don’t like Toodles on the black tile. If I’m going to use it on black, I need to go about it a different way than I did here. I think the Bucky, done on black got really muddy because the lines were just to close together. It’s interesting, but not interesting enough. Sez and Fracas work on both.
Decora. The most interesting accessory in her small room in this section was the basket of Toodles. They grew everywhere on this station. The habitants used them for beauty, oxygen production, food, and their fibers produced by the fruits could be spun into textiles. At the end, the entire thing could be composted to start the cycle over again! She would collect some seeds from the biozone tomorrow. Perhaps they would be useful as she visited other habitats.
Patchwork. The quilt made a strong contrast to the wallpaper in the room. She tossed her jewelry on the bed while she kicked off her shoes. It had been a long day and she was ready to wind down. Portals. So many choices. Where will they all lead. Some appear to be places with natural growth and others more rigid, enclosed. So many choices. Conservatory. For some reason, this tile reminds me of an old-fashioned, Victorian conservatory. I see the tile floor, the elaborate swirls of the wicker furniture and the plants. No boundaries. I decided to do this tile without my usual border or string. Instead, I simply started drawing the Ynix in one corner and progressed from there. Sometimes, you just have to go for it, without imposing limitations on yourself! Zentangle drawn on Strathmore Vellum Bristol using a black, Micron pen. Tangles: Bucky OOF Quandry Shattuck Ynix
It‘s time for wind, and leaves, frost and flurries. But that depends on where you live. In the desert, cooler weather often brings new growth on plants and sometimes even fall blossoms, now that the sun isn‘t baking everything to a crisp. I used tangles that seemed to suit the time of year: Gust for the winds that change direction here in the fall, Bucky reminds me of frost on the windows, Static is the fall storms that bring us a bit of rain, Frondous for the plants that perk up in the cooler weather, and Fife and Well for their spikes and flower-like designs.
Rhodochrosite. I have always been fascinated with beautiful stones. But it never occurred to me to draw them until recently. Now, I‘ve become obsessed with them, so I plan on challenging myself to draw and color more of them in the future!
