I made this book some time ago, but I thought I would finally share it here. It is constructed from scrapbook papers, found items, card stock, and some odds and ends I’ve had for a long time.
The theme is a Victorian Dressmaker’s Notebook in Paris. It could be a book in which she kept notes, samples of fabrics, and sketches of designs, perhaps.
The book is constructed as a tri-fold. Above you can see just the outside, front cover, with the butterfly-clasp, closing band removed.
This is the center, back of the tri-fold. When the book is closed, this is what is visible on the back.
This is the “flap”, which, while it is part of the cover, is folded inside the book when it is closed.
This book was made using the Journal Template Die Set from Art Impressions .
This set contains 35 dies. Everything you need to make a complet project is included in this set. I did also use dies from a few other sets, the Butterfly Clasp Set and the Journal Pocket Die Set.
I love the dies from this company. They are strong and cut very well. They are well planned so they fit in my magnetic envelopes very nicely. I’ve had absolutely no problems with them even though I’ve used them a LOT!
This set is so versitile! I’m showing you this book now, but I’ve done another, in a completely different style that I’ll have to show you when I’m done with this one!
For the next few posts, I’ll be showing you all the things that are inside this book. I hope you find it as lovely and interesting as I do!
