One of the things I’m doing to get “back to normal” is to continue learning to crochet. To make sure I have accountability and continued motivation, I’m participating in a “make along”. This is where a group of people work on a project together, with specific goals over a space of time.
In my case, I decide to do a Weebee Doll month-long project. At the end of the project, I will have a sitting, Weebee Doll with a complete winter outfit. This pattern came from Ravelry , and was designed by Laura Tegg .
This means that each week, I will get a new part of the pattern, which I will try to complete during that week. I post my progress on Laura’s Facebook Group, Weebee Appreciation Society .
Above, you can see how far I got on the first day, which was last Friday. I completed both arms, and I’m working on the legs. When something comes in pairs (arms or legs) I use both ends of the skein of yarn and work on both arms or legs at the same time. That way, they are more likely to come out with the same tension, and I’m working with the same instructions, and (probably) make the same mistakes!
This first section of the pattern is for the doll’s body and hair. We’ll see how this goes as the week goes by.
