
I’m pretty happy with myself! I manage to get the hat for my fly larva finished with only a few restarts, as you can see below. These went in the bin after I finished the hat and took these pictures.

I figured out something about the counting. Since I continuously mess it up, I grabbed the purple, disappearing ink pen that I normally use for sewing. I used it to mark the stitches that had to have an increase/decrease before doing each round. Bingo, bango…no more confusion!
I don’t know how other people keep track of such things. But I think I’ve found a way that works for me. I also figured out that if I didn’t have the pen, I could probably do something similar with little bits of leftover yarn. Hopefully they would stay in place.
The next phase is to create the little sleeping bag style egg sack!
