On Saturday, I participated in a Studio Tour for the Artist’s Group that I belong to. My studio was the second one in this particular tour.
I created a Zentangle “make and take” project for the visitors to give those in the group who were not familiar with Zentangle to either sit down and do while here, or to take with them and do at home.
I used the tangle Verdigogh because it looks a bit like a sprig of Rosemary, which is a symbol of remembrance.
I drew it on a small, Bijou tile, and scanned it in intervals to create a “step out” of the tangle. I also did a separate set of drawings to illustrate “drawing behind”.
I printed out the wordless instructions and gave them along with a blank tile to each visitor who was interested.
Several of the visitors sat down and followed the instructions, creating their tile right on the spot. Others took them home.
I’m happy to say, it appears that the experiment was a success. I saw the finished results from several people, and everyone was able to follow the instructions without difficulty! I’m so happy that I was able to share what I love with others!
